Ski Holiday Directly at the Hochzillertal Gondola
The Hochzillertal–Hochfügen ski area in Kaltenbach is one of the leading ski resorts in Tyrol and offers ideal conditions for a varied ski holiday in the Zillertal. Modern lift facilities, perfectly groomed slopes and around 96 kilometres of pistes guarantee unlimited skiing enjoyment. Particularly attractive are the early opening hours from 7:30 am and the excellent snow reliability in the Zillertal Alps.
The Zillertal Suites enjoy a perfect location only about 200 metres from the Hochzillertal gondola base station. This allows you to reach the ski area comfortably on foot and start your ski day in a relaxed way. For additional comfort, a ski storage room with heated ski boot dryer is available in the house.
In addition to varied slopes, the ski area also offers popular mountain huts and restaurants such as the Kristallhütte and the Wedelhütte, known for their outstanding cuisine and making your ski holiday in the Zillertal a special experience.

The offer is complemented by varied funlines and wave tracks, providing additional fun for both adults and children.

Ski Areas in the Zillertal & Zillertal Superskipass
With the Zillertal Superskipass, you can explore the full variety of ski areas in the Zillertal – from Hochzillertal–Hochfügen and Spieljoch to the Zillertal Arena, Mayrhofen ski areas, and the Hintertux Glacier. The Zillertal Suites are a central starting point for comfortably reaching the different ski areas.
The Zillertal Superskipass can be easily purchased online in advance and also includes free use of public transport throughout the Zillertal. Particularly attractive is the excellent snow reliability with skiing up to 3,250 metres on the Hintertux Glacier, making skiing possible almost all year round.
Winter Hiking & Snowshoeing in Hochzillertal and Hochfügen
Besides skiing, Kaltenbach, Hochzillertal and Hochfügen offer excellent opportunities for winter hiking and snowshoeing in a beautiful snow-covered mountain landscape. A popular highlight is the winter hiking trail in the Hochzillertal ski area, offering scenic tours in the Zillertal Alps.
